Flying Out, Over the Tree-Tops

As a little boy, starting at around age eight, I had a dream of flying out, over the tree-tops of the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia. I imagined fame, possessions, and fortune in a big city, somewhere, although my only awareness of what a big city looked like, was from 3rd and 4th grade history book photo’s. I took old scrap lumber (2″ by10″ by 8′  in length) from an old chicken house, placed it on two cement blocks, and built my first airplane, for the journey out. I nailed  rusty hinges, and scrap metal parts for the levers of the airplane. 2″ by 4″ boards became the wings.  Sitting on the makeshift old metal seat, and fumbling with the rusty, imagined gears, I would daydream of flying up and out over the trees, to the big city. I did this often, and over the next 4 or 5 years, added to the gears and controls. I know, with absolute certainty, that this activity was one of the catylst’s for the success that followed in my life. My time in Ft. Lauderdale, Boston, Hollywood, and Honolulu, began when the seed was planted on that rickety ‘made-up’ Appalachian toy airplane. If we place a thought (dream) in our minds, which is the mind of the Divine, believe and have faith in it, then it must come to pass. Everything starts in the mind…. good and/or bad.  Remember, “the Kingdom of God is within us.” Everyone creates their future from what they focus on and think about most.  Fly On!     NHT
